Star Wars Battlefront 2

“Embark on an endless Star Wars™ journey from the best-selling Star Wars™ video game franchise of all time. Experience rich multiplayer battlegrounds across all three eras - prequel, classic and new trilogy - or rise as a new hero and discover an emotionally gripping single-player story spanning thirty years.”

UX and UI designer on this game made by DICE, Criterion, Motive and LucasFilm. I worked a lot with the layout, look and feel of the menus, as well as some 2d art.

For this sequel we wanted the UI to be more true to the UI established in the movies, so a lot of work went into studying the movie art styles and adapting that to something that would suit us.

As an example, the look of interactive buttons and link elements using pipe dividers taking cues from Rogue One, the progressbars inspired by The Force Awakens, and the general 1-bit physical look from the original trilogy.

For the first big update, I designed a fullscreen takeover. Here I worked with the concept team to create an image where I could position the elements so it fit the UI layout, based on my previous art guidelines.

May the force be with you!
