Website for the Swedish Presidency of the European Union, by Cloud Nine. A very small development team of 1,5 backend people, 1 art director, and me as a frontend developer.

Website when it went live

This was a pretty tough project to pull off, with a very complicated art style, built on top of Polopoly as Content Management System. Getting all this to work in all the various browser engines that existed in 2009 wasn’t easy. Turned out pretty good in the end, and I’d like to think that my work was pretty solid.

The biggest feature of the website was the very extensive calendar, used by both the public, press and EU delegates looking to find some interesting meetings and events. It featured many different types of content, with advanced search options, in probably the worlds first “infinite scroll” that scrolled both up and down the content! (Not my brightest idea ever, I know).

The site was well recieved both in Sweden and around the world, where many claimed it set a new standard for how the EU websites should be like. Unfortunately these two articles from Swedish newspapers is everything I have saved:
